10/04 around the world in 150 days
The time has finally arrived for me to set sail around the world! I’ve been pottering around CT and such for a bit – but that was just warm up really for what’s to come. End of this month I do a delivery for Steward Marine to Australia. Four of us will be sailing a Leopard 46 to Hamilton Island. Not a bad gig – 46’ charter cat with all the bells and whistles, on-suite heads. and 4hr on /8hr off shifts. IMAGE: Check out http://www.robertsonandcaine.com/ to see the Leopard46 up close
What’s really cool though is the 2 ocean crossings, 2 equator crossings and 12000 miles!! Insurance companies have deemed sailing direct too dangerous and have demanded we go the long way ‘round. Long way = 4,5 months via St. Helena, Brazil, Panama, Marquesas (or somewhere around there) and Fiji!

In the mean time, it's a mad rush to get things sorted. I’ll add some comments and a pic or two as we go along. Here's to some awe-inspiring moments in beautiful solitude, chilling with some sea creatures, good tunes and to tanning my ass in wide open privacy!
